City Manager
Mayor Jack Warren swore Scott Barrow in on Wednesday, April 05, 2023, as King City Manager. After serving as Interim City Manager for the last ten months, the King City Council appointed Scott Barrow as City Manager at their last regular City Council meeting on March 6, 2023. Prior to serving as Interim City Manager, Scott worked as the King City Engineer for over 21 years. He has 35 years of local government experience in North Carolina and worked for two other local municipalities before coming to the City of King. Scott is a Professional Engineer and a Professional Land Surveyor. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and holds a Municipal Administration certification from the Institute of Government. Along with the professional licenses, he also has his A Distribution, C Surface, Biological Grade 2, Wastewater Collections Grade 2, Physical/Chemical Grade 1, and Land Application utility operator certifications. As the Mayor of King and on behalf of the City Council, I would like to Congratulate Scott Barrow as the new King City Manager.
