Leaf Pick Up:
Leaf pickup begins the first of November and ends by January 31st. Leaves are picked up using a vacuum truck. During leaf season it could take approximately 10-15 business days for the leaf truck to make a complete pass through the City, dependent on the volume of leaves placed out. The schedule may be altered on account of weather, holidays, or vehicle maintenance.
Guidelines for Leaf Pick-Up:
• Leaves should be in an organized pile that runs parallel to street EDGE.
• MUST be at the pavement edge but NOT IN THE ROADWAY, NOT blocking sidewalks or drainage areas.
• Leaves should not be next to trees, poles, mailboxes, vehicles, etc. Due to equipment limitations.
• PLEASE DO NOT put leaves in the roadway, sidewalks, or drainage areas.
• The truck can't block all lanes for leaf pick-ups, it is a DANGER TO ALL drivers as well as city employees and equipment.
DO NOT.....
- Put leaves in the ROAD or STREET (Leaves will NOT be picked up if this is done)
- Mix leaves and brush due to specialized equipment.
- Put leaves in bags.
- No grass clippings, garbage, or other yard waste such as vegetable garden or flower
