City Officials

Thank you for visiting the King, North Carolina website. We appreciate you logging on to learn more about our city.

If you are not familiar with King, we are a family-oriented and patriotic community just north of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

King is known as "The Gateway to the Foothills”.  It is located in Stokes County, close to Hanging Rock State Park and Pilot Mountain State Park.

We have an incredible Central Park with an amphitheater, a Veterans Memorial, walking trails, a fishing pond, and picnic shelters.  At Recreation Acres, we have ball fields, disc golf, a dog park, walking trails, a picnic shelter, and a state-of-the-art playground. We also have a vibrant Senior Center with innumerable activities offered. Locally, you can find a YMCA with an indoor aquatic facility, weight room, basketball courts, pickleball, workout classes, and other numerous activities.

We are a full-service city with great employees eager to provide service and information to those who request it. If you do not find the information you are looking for on this site, please call King City Hall at (336)983-8265 for a personal response to your inquiry.

Again, welcome! We look forward to speaking with you in person or by telephone. We think that once you have a chance to learn a little more about our community and the services that the City of King provides to its citizens, you will agree that the City of King is truly one of the best places in the world to live, work, and play.
